The third play from the York Corpus Christi Plays deals with the creation of the first people- Adam and Eve. It is based on the second Chapter of Genesis. God gives his reasons for creating Adam and Eve- to care for the earth, to love God, and be loved in turn.
The play was originally performed by the Cardmakers- who made the devices used for turning raw wool into something useable.
